Literature Text

There is a fault line in our relationship.
Our mighty foundation crumbling
before we were aware.

Like tectonic plates that shift -
the friction between us is palpable.
The tension builds until
Release --
And the quake shakes us to our knees.

The aftershocks echo the worst.
The ripples become a mountainous wave.

Yet we remain silent,
As though we never felt the tremors and
The thunders had never boomed.

Who's fault was it?

We are powerless as this crack
becomes a valley and we lack the
strength to build a bridge.

The fragile tether holding us together
is frayed and decayed.
Intimate fibres shift to give way.

Our once mighty foundation tumbling down
before we ever admitted we were aware.
I took my own little spin with :iconshep4life:'s Unnatural disaster. I don't know if it's a spin... I mostly used his poem word for word. I just changed it a bit...

Wow! Despite how much is the same in your two poems, Shepherd (is that what the Shep is short for?) manages to communicate something almost entirely different from your poem! His is more to do with yearning to become a one again and yours is about how ignoring the damage can be damaging in itself!
