Literature Text
Who's to say what's
True and what's not,
If no one is ever on the same page?
Does general consensus
By the masses verify
That some things are absolute?
Who's to tell the difference
Between truth and lies,
If they believe them to be so?
Could we have avoided
Violent confrontations
If only we let them believe?
True and what's not,
If no one is ever on the same page?
Does general consensus
By the masses verify
That some things are absolute?
Who's to tell the difference
Between truth and lies,
If they believe them to be so?
Could we have avoided
Violent confrontations
If only we let them believe?

I'm not sure if it's good or anything but... Things don't seem absolute to me. It could go one way or another. What is perceived as true might not be after all. Yet, they still believe what they believe to be true. They may fight for their beliefs, die for their beliefs, kill for their beliefs. It's a bit... extreme for me but maybe it's because I don't have any particularly strong beliefs.
